Opened in 1986, the theatre is pretty big. The venue has a sitting capacity of about 22,500, with 6,500 reserved seats and 16,000 general admissions on the lawn. When the parking lot is utilized for festival stages, the total sitting capacity of the Shoreline Amphitheatre increases to about 30,000 people.

It is a natural amphitheatre and the stage is covered by a unique giant double tipped tent structure. The sound system is great and provides high definition in and beyond the theatre. The lighting system is also great. The Shoreline Amphitheatre has a regular sitting area and a lawn. Each row of fixed seating at the amphitheatre is roomy; has a pitch of three feet, providing ample legroom and space for dancing. Wide screens are available at the lawn. There is the option of buying reserved seating, though most seats will get you a pretty good view. There are two big screens situated perfectly to broadcast the concert.
There are food stands and several bars that surround the area, with a wide selection of food and drinks. You should try out their barbecues and hamburgers, they taste great. You are allowed to bring your food in too. The lawn area can be pretty intimate; it is a great place to sit with friends and have a good time. The bathrooms are the regular flushing type and they are quite efficient. The workers, particularly the traffic attendants and security officials are always helpful and courteous. There are VIP privileges too; VIP lounge, bathroom, dinner and a private bar to relax before and in-between performances. The VIP privilege also comes with a separate access to exit the stadium without any hassle. There are enough parking lots to go round; free parking lots and special parking lots at a little cost.
The Shoreline Amphitheatre provides you your money’s worth, and even more. The tickets are affordable, especially lawn seats tickets. Parking is also free, but you might need to pay extra to park in designed lots when the free parking spaces are filled. There are price concessions too, especially during summer.
